CM approves Rs160m for PhD scholarships

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has approved a grant of Rs160 million for award of 10 PhD scholarships in top 100 universities of the world.
According to an official statement, the Chief Minister Education Endowment Fund has been established with Rs500 million for award of scholarships to the talented and deserving students of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in high ranking national and international institutions.
The scholarships were recommended by a sub-committee constituted by the Board of Directors of the Endowment Fund in various recommended disciplines in top 100 institution of the world. The initiative is aimed at encouraging talented students of the province and to boost higher education and research.
