Man killed in Bannu firing
BANNU: A man was killed and three other persons, including a woman and two children sustained injuries when a moving passenger van was targeted near Tochi Bridge in Bakakhel area on Saturday.
Armed men opened fire on a moving passenger vehicle near the Tochi Bridge in the jurisdiction of the Miryan police station.
As a result, one Habibullah, a resident of Bakakhel in Bannu, sustained multiple bullet injuries and was killed on the spot.
Three others, including a woman named Nasreen Bibi, wife of Liaquat Ali, 59, Safa, 6, and Hadiya, 7, , all residents of Malikhel in the Janikhel area, were injured.
The body and the injured were rushed to the District headquarters Hospital for medico legal formalities and treatment. According to the police, the deceased had an old enmity.
