7 more booked for spreading violence against state, institutions
Strict legal action is being taken against accused as cases have already been registered against 32 accused
ISLAMABAD: Cases have been registered against seven more suspects on the charge of spreading violence against the state and state institutions on social media, after which the total number of cases has increased to 39. According to government sources, FIRs have been registered against 7 more people for propagating against the state and state institutions. Among the people against whom cases have been registered are Muhammad Osama, Umar Farooq, Ghulam Akbar, Muhammad Abu Bakr, Ali. Shaan, Muhammad Shaukat, Mian Muhammad Imran and Muhammad Bilal. All these accused belong to Muzaffargarh district.

It should be noted that after the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s protest march from Peshawar to Islamabad last week, the rumor mill on social media was turned on and many social media users made conflicting claims on the deaths of participants of the march.
