PhD theses defended at Dept of Psychology
PESHAWAR: Two scholars have defended their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) theses at the Department of Psychology, University of Peshawar (UoP).
A communication said the thesis of Omer Zahid was “Determining the effect of the psychosocial and spiritual intervention on the mental health of substance users in a residential setting”.Asif Khan defended his thesis on “Mental health and attitude towards violence: Comparative analysis of militants and non-militants”.
The scholars carried out the research under the supervision of Dr Hayat Muhammad. The examiners included Dr Muhammad Tahir Khalili, Dr Nosheen Effat Zehra, Dr Mohsin Atta and Dr Roomana Zeb.
UoP Psychology Department Chairperson Prof Dr Erum Irshad and Postgraduate Programme Coordinator Dr Sammiya Ahmad and Emeritus Prof Dr Syeda Farhana Jehangir were present during the public defence.
