Pakistan’s T20 Blind WC champion team honoured
LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi celebrated the T20 Blind Cricket World Cup-winning team’s incredible achievement with a grand gesture of support and encouragement.
Naqvi hosted a reception in honour of the team at the National Cricket Academy, presenting them with a Rs. 10 million cheque as a token of appreciation for their outstanding performance. Additionally, the PCB announced a Rs. 20 million grant to cover event expenses and pledged Rs. 2 crore for the Blind Cricket Association to strengthen its operations.
He assured the team of the PCB’s unwavering support, promising to address their needs and encouraging them to aim for even greater achievements. Blind Cricket Association Chairman Sultan Shah expressed heartfelt gratitude for the PCB’s generous contributions and consistent support. Captain Nisar Ali thanked Naqvi for honouring the team and recognising their efforts.
