Saim, Rayyan, Abdullah advance in KL Junior Squash Open
KARACHI: Pakistan’s M Saim, Rayyan Bahadur, and Abdullah Zaman moved into the third and second rounds, respectively, of their events at REDtone KL Junior Squash Open in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.
In the under-11 category, M Saim defeated Mohd Rosli from Malaysia 11-3, 11-3, 11-5 in the first round and beat Vihan Singh from India 11-8, 11-9, 11-9 in the second round. Now, he will play against Ahora Firozi from Iran in the third round.
In the first round of under-15 category, Sameer Khan lost to Evan Ke Wen from Singapore 9-11, 11-7, 6-11, 9-11, Shahnawaz Zubair was beaten by Malaysia’s Zhang Hao 8-11, 9-11, 3-11, and M Bin Arif was defeated by Rayan Golabian from Iran 4-11, 11-7, 7-11, 8-11.
However, Rayyan Bahdur defeated Jayden Wu from Malaysia 12-10, 15-13, 11-7 in the first round and now he will face Ravi Kumar from Malaysia in the second round.
