UCHS syndicate approves hiring, selection committee
LAHORE:The 12th Syndicate meeting of the University of Child Health Sciences was held under the chairmanship of Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique. In the meeting, the Registrar University presented the contents of the Syndicate agenda.
Health Minister ratified all the decisions of the 11th Syndicate meeting of the university. The implementation report of the decisions of the 11th Syndicate meeting was also presented. The minister took a briefing from the officers of IDAP about the construction of the main building of the University of Child Health Sciences.
The meeting approved posts of Deputy Controller Examination, Deputy Auditor and Assistant Treasurer, the decisions of the 11th meeting of the Finance and Planning, the budget of the UCHS and the PLA. The meeting also approved the appointment of Prof Muhammad Saleem and Prof Shazia Maqbool as Professors Emeritus. Besides, the decisions of the 13th and 14th meetings of the Academic Council were also approved.
In addition to approving the hiring on some posts of the university, the selection committee for the recruitment of the UCHS to Grade 1 to Grade 16 was also approved. Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique said that the government wanted to increase the capacity of the University of Child Health Sciences. The UCHS is the first medical institution in Pakistan to produce pediatric nurses. He directed IDAP to complete the main building of the university on time.
The meeting was also attended by Vice Chancellor University of Child Health Sciences Prof Masood Sadiq, Prof Sajid Maqbool, Prof Tahir Masood, Vice Chancellor University of Health Sciences Professor Ahsan Waheed Rathore, Shahnaz Sardar, Additional Secretary Finance Lubna from the Department of Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education, Special Secretary HEC Zahida Azhar, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Junaid Rashid, Registrar University Prof Nabila Talat, MD Prof Tipu Sultan, Finance Department, Law Department, Agriculture Department and other syndicate members.
