DIG holds open court
LAHORE:During an open court, DIG Operations Muhammad Faisal Kamran issued direct orders to SPs, DSPs, and SHOs regarding citizens’ applications. In response to a complaint from elderly parents, the DIG ordered the SHO Lorri Adda to take action under the Parents Protection Act against their drug-addicted son for harassment and violence.
Similarly, on a landlord’s complaint about a tenant failing to pay rent of 162,000 rupees, he instructed DSP Baghbanpura to hear both parties and ensure the rightful party receives justice. Regarding a citizen’s complaint of paying Rs2million to a property dealer for land, which was neither handed over nor refunded, the DIG directed SHO Township to register a case for cheque dishonor.
In response to complaints by Abdul Karim and Mehboob Ali against police officials, the DIG ordered inquiries to be conducted by relevant officers and actions to be taken if the accused are found guilty.
