Bushra not in politics, counsel quotes Imran
Faisal said PTI founder was tried in fake case and “we would not accept if reference was remanded back"
ISLAMABAD: Faisal Chaudhry Advocate, counsel for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder, Friday quoted Imran Khan as saying that his wife Bushra Bibi was neither taking part in politics now, nor she would do so in future.
Talking to the media outside Adiala jail in Rawalpindi, he explained that the message of PTI founder was conveyed to the party leaders through Bushra Bibi, as former premier was not allowed to meet his party leaders. In such circumstances, Imran Khan sent a message to his party leaders through his wife. Faisal Chaudhry said Imran Khan had demanded the NAB chairman and the inquiry officer resign from their posts after issuance of anti-graft body’s statement of mistrial. He said the PTI founder was tried in a fake case and “we would not accept if the reference was remanded back”.
“Former minister and PTI leader Ali Muhammad Khan, speaking at the press conference, said the high court had dismissed the Toshakhana case, and that the NAB counsel had admitted the PTI founder was deprived of the right to defend himself. “For how long those, who created this system, would keep carrying the political coffins of Shehbaz Sharif, Zardari and others”, who had been rejected by the nation. He clarified that Imran had only said on the success of Donald Trump that with his return, the policies would become neutral.
