Man stabbed to death by addict
LAHORE:A young man was allegedly stabbed to death by his relative for preventing him from using drugs.
According to Model Town SP Akhlaq Ullah Tarrar, the police responded to an emergency 15 call, leading to the arrest of the suspect.The victim, identified as 32-year-old Ahmed Raza, reportedly confronted the accused addict Nazir who is a close relative of Raza. SP stated that the victim had barred Nazir from taking drugs and entering his house, sparking a heated exchange. Nazir allegedly attacked Raza with a knife.The police arrested the accused, registered a case and recovered the murder weapon from him.
15 die on road in 24 hours
Around 15 people died, whereas 1,445 were injured in 1,367 road accidents in all districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.Out of these, 598 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 847 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams.
