UHS considers synopses, thesis reports

LAHORE

The 114th meeting of Advanced Studies and Research Board of the University of Health Sciences (UHS) was held on Thursday with Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Junaid Sarfraz Khan in the chair. The board considered the proposal of starting postgraduate certificate in Family Medicine and MS Programme in spine surgery.

The board considered the thesis reports of Dr Naheed Humayun Sheikh PhD (Community Medicine), Dr Shahzad Bhatti PhD (Human Genetics), Dr Aman Ullah Bhutto MPhil (Chemical Pathology), Dr Ateeba Musaddaq MPhil (Microbiology), Dr Farwa Naqvi MPhil (Pharmacology), Dr Sana Rasheed Ch MPhil (Physiology), Dr Faisal Shahzad Roomi MS (Cardiac Surgery), Dr Faisal Masud MS (Urology) and Dr Ijaz Ur Rehman MS (Urology).

IIU: President of International Islamic University (IIU), Islamabad, Prof Dr Ahmed Yousif Ahmed Al Draiweesh on Thursday visited Government College University (GCU) to explore the areas of collaboration in different disciplines.

Prof. Ahmed Yousif held a detailed meeting with the GCU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Hassan Amir Shah, which was also attended by GCU Deans Prof Dr Islamullah Khan and Prof Dr Iqbal Shahid, Academic Planning and External Links Director Ms Fouzia Shaheen, Additional Registrar Saboor Khan and Chief Librarian Abdul Waheed. 

The delegates of both universities agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to commence formal collaborations among the universities' departments especially in the areas research and quality enhancement.
