PM&DC Step-I exam

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council’s (PM&DC) National Examination Board (NEB) Step-I exam was held at Pak China Centre Thursday in collaboration with Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Medical University / PIMS Islamabad. 

The step II exam is going to be held on Saturday (tomorrow) in which 721candidates will appear. In the Step I & II examination almost 3,000 candidates are appearing in total which is the highest no of candidates appearing in the NEB exam in the history of PM&DC.

According to a statement issued by the PM&DC, Dr Amir Hussain Bandeshah, member Executive Committee of PM&DC, said on 2nd and 3rd almost 3000 candidates will appear. He said to have a proper check and holding a successful transparent exam many members of PM&DC were present at the examination hall. He added this test is mandatory for the doctors who want to do practice in the country. PM&DC will not tolerate any type of corruption as there has been a bad image of the examination. PM&DC new council has pledged to improve the system of the examination and over first priority to eradicate corruption.

He added council members who personally supervised the exam includes Dr Mussarat Hussain, Dr Taj Muhammad, Dr Haroon, Dr Farukh Aijaz, Dr Imran Naseer, Dr Khiyal Afridi ,Dr Abdus Samad Mangal and Dr Syed Azhar Ali Shah.
