Youth Affairs DG takes charge
LAHORE:Newly-appointed Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab DG Khizar Afzaal took charge of his office on Monday. Shortly after assuming his new role, he chaired a meeting to review the performance of the officers in Khelta Punjab Games at the National Hockey Stadium.
Director Sports Yasmeen Akhtar and Director Admin Dr M Kaleem attended the meeting in person while all the divisional and district sports officers participated in the meeting through video link.
Addressing the meeting, Khizar Afzaal said that all divisional and district sports officers should take effective steps to unearth fresh talent from their respective areas. “Khelta Punjab Games have great significance for the development of sports across the province,” he added.
Khizar Afzaal directed all the officers to send their respective event reports on daily basis. “The top performing players of Khelta Punjab Games will be imparted advanced training by foreign coaches,” he added.
