Hyderabad Inter exam results yet to be announced due to differences between BISE chairman, controller
The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Hyderabad has had serious differences between its chairman Dr Ahmed Ali Brohi and controller examination Dr Masroor Ahmadzai on the issue of announcing the results of the Intermediate Annual Examinations 2024.
As a result, there has been an inordinate delay in the release of the exam results. Both the officials are said to have prepared their own separate results of Intermediate exams and both are validating their results.
Dr Ahmed Brohi has restricted the powers of Dr Masroor Zai, delegated the responsibility of the results to Deputy Secretary Establishment Shahnawaz Bhatti and has written another letter to Dr Masroor Zai citing old letters, stating that these letters were of utmost importance, time-sensitive and required immediate action by the controller of examinations, as the board functions under the authority of the chairman under Sections 3 and 3(iii) of the Ordinance 1972.
The letter states: “You were given ample time to acknowledge the importance of the above official correspondence, comply with the chairman’s instructions and submit a compliance report. However, you failed to do so. You neither discussed nor organized, shared, or prepared any action to present to the chairman. Neglect of your official duties and inattention to the principal executive officer of the board appears to be a deliberate attempt to obstruct the work of the Chairman. Such conduct is liable to disciplinary action under the Performance and Discipline (E&D) Rules.
“In light of this, the Chairman has taken decisive steps to ensure smooth and timely declaration of HSC Part II Annual Examination 2024 Results of Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering and Computer Science General Groups. Pursuant to Section 15(5) of the BISE Act, 1972, your authority to declare the results of HSC Part-II Annual Examination 2024 Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering and Computer Science has been revoked and delegated to Shahnawaz Bhatti, Deputy Secretary Establishment.
“This decision has been taken to ensure timely declaration of results to deserving students who wish to further their education, as well as in the larger interest of the public and to enhance the reputation of the organization.”
Talking to The News, Dr Ahmed Brohi said that we have prepared transparent results through the deputy secretary according to the modern method in which there is no room for corruption while Controller of Examinations Dr Masroor Zai has prepared his separate results, which we do not accept.
We asked Dr Masroorzai to release our prepared results which he is not ready and he wants to release his prepared results which are not acceptable to us, he said.
When The News contacted, Dr Masroorzai said: “I have prepared transparent results, I have all the records. Chairman Board Dr Brohi has prepared these results with Assistant Controller Ejaz Kaka while the results are prepared by the IT Manager. I was not allowed to work for two months but still I produced results. Dr. Zai said that I refused to accept and sign the results compiled by the chairman board because the results have been altered, on which he wrote a letter against me.”
