Woman killed by husband’s nephew for refusing to marry off daughter
A woman was shot dead by her husband’s nephew on Sunday over a dispute regarding a marriage proposal in the Manghopir area. The police arrested the suspect identified as Ehsan and seized the weapon used in the murder.
The incident occurred in the Manghopir’s Muslim Goth area where the body of the woman identified as 40-year-old Shahnaz Bibi was found with bullet wounds.
Upon receiving the information, police and rescue teams reached the scene, collected evidence, and transported the body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
According to police, Shahnaz was currently married to Masheer Khan who was her second husband. After she refused to marry off her daughter to her brother-in-law’s son Ehsan, the suspect shot and killed her in response. Further investigations are under way.
