Toxic liquor claims six lives

NOWSHERA: Six people died after consuming toxic liquor at a wedding ceremony at Nizampur area in the Nowshera district.
It was learnt that a wedding ceremony of one Fayyaz Khan was taking place at Nizampur area when a group of nine people reportedly consumed toxic liquor. The condition of the nine people started worsening after consuming the liquor. Two people died on the spot while one person breathed his last at a hospital.
The affected people were rushed to the Qazi Hussain Ahmad Medical Complex where six men were provided treatment and they became stable after their stomachs were washed. The deceased were identified as Atif, Zahoor and Luqman.
