Rawalpindi
Residents demanded reconstruction of dilapidated Ban-Cror Road leading towards Kotli Sattian that has become a matter of grave concern for the local people who even find it hard to bring the patients to nearby hospital.
“Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has visited the area in April this year and he announced number of development projects in the area. But, unfortunately, no one bothered to look into the poor condition of Ban-Cror Road that is used daily by thousands of commuters,” said Taufeeq Abbasi, a resident of Chirah near Kotli Sattian.
He said the Ban-Cror Road was constructed some sixteen years ago during the Musharraf era and it is highly astonishing that no elected member since then took interest in its reconstruction.
It is pertinent to mention here that Kotli Sattian is a quite scenic place and has a wonderful green landscape. Scores of visitors pay visit to this area especially in the summer season to avoid heat wave in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
Bilal Abbasi, another resident of the area, said the visit of the prime minister to Kotli Sattian raised hope among the residents and now they are expecting that the government would reconstruct the Ban-Cror Road for the benefit of the people.
