One killed in road mishap
MANSEHRA: A young man was killed and four others sustained critical injuries when a jeep plunged into a ravine in the Oghi area here on Saturday.
The jeep, carrying passengers, was on its way to the Chatta area from Oghi when the driver lost control over steering while negotiating a sharp turn and the vehicle fell into the ravine.
Locals rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the Tehsil Hospital Oghi where doctors pronounced Mohammad Aslam dead and the rest were referred to the Ayub Medical Complex Abbottabad.
Meanwhile, the police in Oghi seized a large quantity of timber and arrested an alleged smuggler.
The SHO, Gul Nawaz Khan, told reporters that a police party during a search and strike operation carried out in parts of Oghi tehsil seized a huge cache of wooden beams and transported them to the police station.
