Two terrorists, ‘spy’ arrested in Mansehra raids

MANSEHRA: The security forces arrested two alleged terrorists in Oghi and Charangada areas of the district on Sunday.

The sources said the forces also seized 20 kg of explosive, pressure cooker, hand-grenades, rocket propelled-grenades, pistols and AK 47 assault rifle from the accused.“The terrorists who were arrested from their hideouts in different parts of district were planning to carry out terrorist attack in any part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” said sources.

The terrorists were shifted to an undisclosed location for an interrogation after the arrest.The arrested terrorists, according to sources, were involved in many subversive activities in parts of country and picked during search and strike operation being carried out by forces in parts of Mansehra district.

A press release issued by ISPR only confirmed that two terrorists were arrested in Oghi and Mansehra tehsils with explosives and ingredients used in making IEDs.The security forces have also arrested a spy working for a foreign intelligence agency from Oghi and also shifted him to an undisclosed location for an interrogation.
