KCCI extends Friday operations to enhance services for businesses
KARACHI: The management of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) has decided to keep all its departments fully operational every Friday for the entire day, instead of the previous half-day schedule. This change aims to better serve the business and industrial community.
KCCI members can now take advantage of various facilities on Fridays, as all departments -- except for the attestation department -- will continue to offer services according to regular office hours, from 9:30am to 6pm, with a lunch break scheduled from 1:15pm to 2pm from Monday to Thursday and Saturday. On Fridays, lunch hours will be observed from 12:45pm to 2:30pm.
According to a statement from the KCCI, the attestation department will operate from 9am to 5pm throughout the week, with a 30-minute lunch break from 1:30pm to 2pm. The Friday prayer and lunch break timings will remain consistent with those observed by all other departments.
The decision to keep KCCI operational throughout Friday was made by the KCCI office bearers following numerous recommendations from members of the business community. These members consistently advised maintaining full-day operations on Fridays to ensure the availability of various services, including the issuance of visa recommendation letters, attestation services, and all other membership and secretariat-related services.
