Unicef promises support for education initiatives
Islamabad: A delegation of the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (Unicef) met with secretary of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani here on Thursday to discuss the recent educational reforms in Islamabad.
The delegates featured Unicef Global Director of Education Dr. Pia Britto and Regional Education Adviser Matt Brossard. During the meeting, the Unicef representatives were updated on initiatives aimed at enhancing public schools in the Islamabad Capital Territory. They expressed keen interest in the ministry’s efforts and commended its secretary for his commitment to improving education.
The delegation reaffirmed Unicef's support for the government's focus on addressing educational challenges, particularly for out-of-school children and the need for quality education for those already enrolled.
