After end of first quarter: Science and technology organisations not given PSDP funds
Official said approval for extension of three projects is yet to be sought, but funds have been released day ago
ISLAMABAD: Despite the end of the first quarter, PSDP funds have not been released to some organisations, including the Pakistan Science Foundation, an institution of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
As a result, the project’s employees have not been given their salaries for the last three months, while the work on projects is also feared to be affected. According to a senior officer, these funds were released to the Ministry of Science and Technology a month ago, but the funds could not be released to the organizations due to repeated transfer of federal secretaries. The official said the approval for the extension of three projects is yet to be sought, but the funds have been released a day ago and employees will get their salaries.
