PESHAWAR: Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) leader Manzoor Pashteen has invited Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to the Pashtun Qaumi Jirga scheduled for October 11.
The invitation was extended during a meeting between the two leaders.Manzoor Pashteen underscored the need for forging unity among the Pashtuns.Pashteen quoted the chief minister as saying that he expressed his support for the Pashtun cause and assured that the government would cooperate with the jirga.
Gandapur pledged the provincial government would have representation in the jirga.Preparations are being made to hold the Pashtun Qaumi Jirga in Khyber tribal district.Pashteen said that arrangements at the venue had been finalized and representatives from various communities and organizations would participate in the event.
He said different communities would set up separate tents and each group would select a representative to attend the jirga. The decisions made during the Pashtun Qaumi Jirga would be determined by the chosen representatives.
