LAHORE: Pakistan women’s cricket team lost their first warm-up game against Scotland by 8 wicket at the Sevens Ground in UAE.
Pakistan managed to post a total of 132 runs for 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Opener Omaima Sohail led with 30 runs, followed by Muneeba Ali who contributed 27 runs, while captain Fatima Sana remained unbeaten on 20 runs.
However, the Scottish side, powered by an unbeaten 60 from Sarah Bryce and 48 from Sekiya Hawaerli, chased down the target comfortably in 18 overs with 2 wickets down. Neshra Sindhu was the only Pakistani bowler to take a wicket. Pakistan will face Bangladesh in their second warm-up match.
