PDMA issues alert ahead of rains

People should stay away from dilapidated buildings and, in case of emergency, call PDMA helpline 1129

LAHORE: In view of rains in various districts of Punjab including Lahore, the PDMA Punjab has issued an alert.

In the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of rain in most districts of Punjab. The spell of rains is predicted to continue till October 1.

Director General PDMA Irfan Ali Kathia has issued instructions to the deputy commissioners across the province to remain alert. He advised citizens to stay away from power poles and hanging wires.

He said people should stay away from dilapidated buildings and, in case of emergency, call PDMA helpline 1129.
