National song competition held
Islamabad:In compliance with Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) directives to conduct Co-Curricular and STEM activities, IMCG(PG) Margalla College F7/4 organised a National Song Singing Competition for SSC level students here on Wednesday.
Under Principal Ayesha Kiayani’s supervision, 31 participants from various FDE-affiliated schools participated in the contest. The program began with recitation of Quranic verses and Naat followed by enthusiastic performances of national songs. According to FDE'S guidelines the Judges, Shazia Shakeel (Associate Professor)and Dr. Shahnaz Perveen (AssistantProfessor) evaluated performances based on melody, pitch, and patriotism.
According to FDE’S guidelines only one participant from each institution was allowed to participate. The theme of the songs were ‘National Songs’ only. The aim of organizing such activities is to foster patriotism and national unity among students. It also promotes cultural activities and musical talent among students. Such events nurture students' creative potential and instil national pride.
Minahil Zahra from IMSG (PM Staff Colony G-5, Islamabad) was declared as the sole winner of the contest. The National Song Singing Competition successfully portrayed students' talent and patriotism, aligning with FDE'S objectives.
