PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Thursday disposed of a petition filed by a contractor against the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) inquiry into alleged corruption in the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project.
The two-member bench comprising PHC Chief Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim and Justice Wiqar Ahmad disposed of the petition after learning that the NAB, Peshawar Development Authority and the BRT contractor reconciled on the issue.
Chaudhry Aamir Latif, Masood Ahmad Shah, Waseem Sajjad, Shumail Ahmad Butt, Naeem Bukhari, Muhammad Ali and Azeem Dad appeared for respective parties. When the court started the hearing into the petition, the counsel for the petitioner told the bench his client wanted to take back the petition.
