Ahsan Ayaz edged by Sharaf in final

FAISALABAD: Pakistani squash player Ahsan Ayaz narrowly missed out on the title at the 247 International Squash Tournament, losing in a thrilling final to Egypt’s Mohamed Sharaf.
The match, held in New Jersey, was fiercely contested, with each game filled with excitement. Ayaz lost by close margins in all three games, with the scores reading 11-9, 11-9, 18-16 in favour of Sharaf.
The 247 International Squash Championship had a total prize purse of $3,000. This was Ahsan’s second consecutive PSA final this month. Earlier, he had captured the Collieville Open title.
