"We are thrilled to bring the rich flavours of Thailand to Islamabad through this vibrant festival. Our goal is to provide our guests with an immersive cultural experience, allowing them to savour authentic Thai cuisine while enjoying performances that showcase the beauty of Thai culture," hotel manager Hassan Khan told reporters. He thanked the Royal Thai Embassy for collaborating with the hotel in organising the event.
Chargé d'Affaires of the Thai Embassy Kamolwan Sriposil, who was also in attendance, emphasised the importance of cultural exchange through food. "Food has always been a significant part of Thailand’s culture, and we are pleased to share our rich culinary heritage with the people of Islamabad through the upcoming Thai Food Festival at the Islamabad Marriott Hotel," she said.
Ms Sriposil said the event would provide both locals and foreigners in the city with a wonderful opportunity to experience the vibrant and diverse flavours of Thailand while enjoying traditional Thai performances. She thanked the Marriott Hotel for the hospitality in making the festival possible. The Thai chargé d'affaires encouraged residents to join the "unique culinary journey and experience Thailand’s rich food heritage and cultural performances."
The festival's menu will feature an array of traditional Thai dishes, including spicy salads and creamy curries, offering an authentic taste of Thailand. In addition to the exquisite Thai cuisine prepared by the hotel’s Thai chef, attendees will be treated to live performances by a special cultural troupe, flown in directly from Thailand to enhance the festival's ambience, according to organisers.
