Zimbabwe contacts PCB for player NOCs ahead of Zim Afro League
LAHORE: The Zimbabwe Cricket Board (ZC) has approached the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for Pakistani cricketers to participate in the Zim Afro Cricket League.
According to board sources, the PCB has responded positively, promising that the matter will be carefully considered. It has been confirmed that Pakistani players currently participating in the Champions One-Day Cup will not be granted NOCs for the Zim Afro League.
Only those players not involved in the domestic competition will be eligible for clearance. Seven Pakistani cricketers have been chosen to play in the Zim Afro League: Shahnawaz Dahani,
Asif Ali, Sharjeel Khan, Haider Ali, Yasir Shah, Mohammad Irfan, and Salman Irshad. Haider, Asif, and Shahnawaz Dahani, who are actively participating in the Champions One-Day Cup, will not be permitted to join the Zimbabwe-based tournament. The PCB is expected to make a final decision regarding the remaining players soon.
