One acquitted of murder charge
PESHAWAR: Additional District and Sessions Judge Lubna Zaman has acquitted a murder accused for lack of evidence.
According to the prosecution, accused Saif-ul-Islam along with two other suspects was accused of killing a person on March 22, 2023, in the limits of the Par Hoti Police Station over a land dispute.
Wali Khan advocate, the counsel for the accused, argued that as per the First Information Report all the accused had opened fire on Nadir Khan, leading to his death.One accused was still absconding while two suspects were tried for the offence. The counsel argued that the accused was not present at the time of the offence as disclosed by the Call Detail Record report. However, the counsel for the complainant argued that the evidence was available on the record.
