Rawalpindi: As many as 16 ‘Ramazan Sasta Bazaars’ will be set up in six tehsils of Rawalpindi. As many as 16 officers will be assigned the task to keep vigil over rates and quality of products.

An official, who referred to the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, said the 'Ramazan Sasta Bazaars' would be set up at sixteen points, including Haideri Chowk, Committee Chowk, Shamsabad, Khayaban-e-Sir Syed, Dhoke Hassu, Chungi Number 22, Chur Chowk, Gulzar-i-Quaid, Chakri Road, Adiala Road, Gujar Khan City, Kotli Sattian, Kahuta Bazaar, Main Taxila Chowk, General Bus Stand, Murree, and Kalar Syedan.

He said initially 117 flour mill owners have been invited for talks with the local administration to find out ways and means to ensure provision of flour at affordable prices in these bazaars.

“Hopefully, flour bags and other essential commodities would be provided to consumers at reduced prices. There would be no compromise on quality of the products,” he said.  The official said that the best possible parking facilities would be provided at 'Ramazan Sasta Bazaars' and traffic police officials would ensure smooth flow of traffic.
