29 NITB employees enlisted in surplus pool
Letter said that administrative and financial affairs of these employees will be handled by their department, including utilization of their services, discipline and payment of salary
ISLAMABAD: The Establishment Division has enlisted 29 employees of the National Information Technology Board (NITB) in the surplus pool and asked the NITB to continue paying salaries to civil servants till their adjustment in other institutions.
The instruction was given in response to a letter written by the Ministry of IT. In the letter written by Section Officer Haris bin Tariq, it is said that 29 employees of the National Information Technology Board, Islamabad, have been enlisted in surplus pool of the Establishment Division
However, it is clarified that it is not mandatory for the employees declared as surplus to come and report to the surplus pool themselves. They should stay in their department and draw salary from there. Vacancies should be created to pay them salaries and they should continue to be paid salaries till they are finally merged in any other organisation from the surplus pool.
The letter said that the administrative and financial affairs of these employees will be handled by their department, including utilization of their services, discipline and payment of salary. It is the responsibility of the Ministry of IT to establish the supplementary grant to pay the salaries of these employees. The parent department of these employees will be the Ministry of IT.
