‘Adherence to rule of law key to nation’s progress’
LAHORE:First Democratic Front chairman Col (retd) Raja Javed Mujtaba Wednesday said a nation that lacks the rule of law can never achieve true progress.
According to a press release, addressing a gathering he said for Pakistan to prosper it is imperative that elections become affordable and accessible to middle class. Raja said the current electoral process is dominated by those with wealth, leaving the middle class marginalised and voiceless.
He said the present leadership has proven to be both corrupt and incompetent, further hindering Pakistan’s development. Raja maintained that it is time for a comprehensive reform to ensure that all citizens, regardless of their financial status, have an equal opportunity to participate in the democratic process.
