PO killed in Nowshera encounter
NOWSHERA: The Nowshera police on Friday claimed killing a proclaimed offender who had been charged with multiple crimes.Deputy Superintendent of Police Zahid Alam told reporters a police party signaled three men riding a motorcycle. The bike was heading to Risalpur from the Nowshera Cantt.
An alleged proclaimed officer, Hassan, who was a pillion rider, disembarked from the bike and allegedly opened fire on the police party comprising Station House Officer of Rislapur Police Station Ashfaq Khan Mohmand, ASI Ziaullah and Constable Saleem Khan. The police returned the fire that left the accused dead.
The official said as many 60 cases of various nature had been registered against slain accused in various cities of KP. He was wanted by the Punjab police as well.
