Asad clinches Under-18 singles Punjab Junior Tennis title
LAHORE: Asad Zaman clinched the Boys U-18 Singles title at the Kamran Steel Punjab Junior Tennis Championship 2024, which concluded at the Punjab Tennis Academy, Bagh-e-Jinnah, Lahore.
Representing Ali Embroidery Mills, Asad showcased an exceptional performance, defeating Yafat Nadeem 6-2, 6-1 in the final. In the Boys U-18 doubles final, the pair of Yafat Nadeem and Abdullah Pirzada outplayed Asad Zaman and Abdur Rehman Rana 6-2.
Promising talent Bismel Zia also had a remarkable tournament, winning the Girls U-18 Singles title by defeating Hajra Rana 6-4. She continued her dominance by overcoming Hajra once again in the Girls U-14 final, with a score of 6-1.
Abdur Rehman Rana secured his first title in the Boys U-16 Singles category by defeating Abu Bakar Khalil 6-2. He then partnered with Hajra Rana to claim the Boys/Girls U-14 Doubles crown, defeating Muhammad Muaz and Muhammad Ayan 4-1.
Hajra also completed her double by winning the Girls U-12 Singles title with a commanding 6-1 victory over Eman Shahbaz. Muhammad Ayan became a double title winner as well, securing the Boys U-12 title with a 6-4 victory over Muhammad Muaz.
He then dominated Mustafa Uzair Rana 6-1 to win his second title of the championship. In the Boys U-14 final, Muhammad Muaz triumphed over M. Ayan Khan with a 6-2 victory. The 45-plus doubles title went to Mehboob Waheed and Talha Waheed.
