Money laundering case: Court orders blocking of CNICs, passports of Moonis Elahi, 6 others
Judge Tanvir Ahmad held hearing in respect of the FIA challan
LAHORE: The Special Central Court (SCC), Lahore, has ordered to block passports and National Identity Cards (NICs) of 6 proclaimed offenders, including Moonis Elahi, son of former chief minister Punjab Pervaiz Elahi, in an FIA money laundering case.
Judge Tanvir Ahmad held hearing in respect of the FIA challan. The proclaimed offenders are Moonis Elahi, Zaigham Abbas, Farasat Ali Chatha, Imtiaz Ali Shah, Aamir Sohail and Aamir Fayyaz. The court ordered for putting the names of 6 proclaimed offenders in Passport Control List and freezing properties and bank accounts of Moonis Elahi and Zaigham Abbas. The court ordered to freeze also over 26 kanal land in Kasur, one plot in Gulberg and one home with respect to Moonis Elahi. The court, while summoning implementation report on next hearing, adjourned the hearing of the case till September 19.
