Not a care

This refers to the letter ‘Beyond the quick fix’ (August 18, 2014) by Murknabi Baloch. I regret to inform the writer that neither the Sindh nor federal governments appear to be bothered about flood-affected people. They are more concerned about the employees of loss-making and dysfunctional state-owned enterprises.
In the case of Pakistan Steel Mills, which, as far as I know, has not been fully operational since 2015, the federal government is paying salaries for many employees who are probably not working.
