Govt creating environment conducive to business: CS
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhary on Tuesday said it was the priority of the government to provide an environment conducive to business.A handout said that he said this while talking to a delegation of the Hotel and BakersAssociation.
Relevant secretaries, representatives from the Halal Food Authority, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority, district administration, and other officials attended the meeting. The commissioners participated in the meeting via video link.
The delegation informed the chief secretary about the issues faced by hotels and bakeries and presented various suggestions.Nadeem Aslam Chaudhary listened to the problems and assured them that all possible cooperation would be extended in resolving these issues. He stated that providing a favourable environment for businesses was one of the government’s priorities. He added the government was committed to providing a conducive business environment for a stable economy, as thousands of people’s livelihoods were linked to these businesses.
The chief secretary emphasized the need to facilitate businesspeople. He said hotel and bakery owners should ensure cleanliness and the availability of quality food items at hotels and bakers. He added that the use of technology was essential to facilitate business people about tax matters and to maintain transparency at the government level. He directed district administration and other relevant departments to enhance cooperation with businessmen and traders.
