Senior nurse honoured on retirement
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister Syed Qasim Ali Shah has awarded a commendation certificate to Chief Nursing Superintendent Zeenat Bibi upon her retirement, acknowledging her performance.
Zeenat Bibi retired from her position at Maulvi Ameer Shah Memorial Hospital.During the ceremony, the hospital’s Medical Superintendent, Dr. Akram Shah, along with other hospital staff, presented her with a bouquet as a token of appreciation.
Health Minister stated: “Nurses are the backbone of our Health Department, and we hold their invaluable services in high regard. We are working to increase the number of nurses so that the public can receive quality and timely healthcare services.”
Dr. Akram Shah, the Medical Superintendent of the hospital, said: Zeenat Bibi, dedicated 40 years of her life to serving the public. She began her career in the Health Department in 1984 as a staff nurse and served at Khyber Teaching Hospital until 2015. “After that, she shifted to the management side, excelling in teaching and training junior nurses. Zeenat Bibi also served as the Principal of the Government College of Nursing at Khyber Teaching Hospital.
Reflecting on her career, Zeenat Bibi described her service period as the best time of her life and expressed that she would always cherish the moments spent with her staff.
