KARACHI: Investigation agencies are looking into the bank accounts of Asif Merchant, a Pakistani man arrested in the United States for allegedly plotting the assassination of a political figure, organising rallies and stealing official documents.
Apart from the details of the accounts, the investigation is also being carried out to ascertain how money was sent through non-banking channels.
Sources say the interior minister has also given orders to the National Database Registration Authority to block the National Identity Card of Asif Raza Merchant.
