PHA to organise painting contest
LAHORE:The Parks & Horticulture Authority Lahore Thursday decided to distribute plants among people and conduct a painting competition to celebrate the Independence Day (ID) in a befitting manner.
In this regard, a meeting was chaired by Director General Muhammad Tahir Wattoo at PHA headquarters. In the meeting preparations for the Independence Day were discussed and recommendations for the Independence Day were presented and it was decided that fireworks, illumination, and a painting contest would be held and a flag hoisting ceremony will be held at Racecourse Park.
On the night between August 13 and 14, Minar-e-Pakistan will be illuminated with green and white lights, and free plants will be distributed among people. The DG asked all wing officers to perform their respective duties in the preparations for the Independence Day.
