Minister reviews water situation in rivers
MULTAN: Punjab Irrigation Minister Mian Kazim Ali Pirzada visited Multan and reviewed flood arrangements and the water situation in rivers and canals.
The minister chaired a high-level meeting at the Multan Irrigation Chief Engineer’s Office to discuss the water situation in South Punjab rivers, barrages and canals. Punjab Irrigation Secretary Dr Wasif Khursheed, Chief Engineer Multan Zone Irrigation Department Muhammad Ashraf Bhatti, including Chief Engineers Irrigation and other officers received a briefing at a meeting on the water situation and the expected floods and reviewed arrangements.
The minister instructed to complete all the irrigation arrangements on time. The meeting discussed ongoing development works in the Irrigation Department and the prevention of water theft was also reviewed.
