The Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) on Friday started repair work on a sunken sewerage line in District Central's North Nazimabad area.
According to a spokesperson for the KWSC, a 24-inch-diameter sewerage line sank down in North Nazimabad Block I for which the repair work had started.
In this regard, Chief Engineer Sewerage Aftab Alam said that if the sewerage line was not repaired immediately, the road would have been affected more.
North Nazimabad Town Chairman Atif Ali Khan also oversaw the repair work. Alam said the repair work on the affected sewerage line would be completed in the next 24 hours.
