ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has made it mandatory for police officers to serve in the Frontier Constabulary for one year.
According to government sources, the appointment period of police group officers in Frontier Constabulary was 6 months earlier which has been extended to one year. The Establishment Division has issued a notification. For the future, it has been made mandatory for officers of the Police Group Grade 17 to be posted in FC for one year.
As per policy, two badges of police service officers of Grade 17 are posted in the FC. A few years ago, the posting period of police officers in FC was reduced from one year to six months. Even after promotion from Grade 17 to 18, it is mandatory for police officers to be posted in FC for one year.
