A man was killed in front of his wife and minor son in Gulshan-e-Maymar on Thursday.
The incident occurred at a house near the Northern Bypass. Unknown assailants broke into the residence and shot the victim dead in front of his family. Police and rescuers transported the body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
The Karachi police spokesperson identified the victim as 32-year-old Nazu Ullah Mehsud, son of Khan Wali Mehsud. The deceased worked as a machine operator and had been married for three and a half years.
He was originally from South Waziristan and had been living in Karachi for about 16 years, having moved to Gulshan-e-Maymar from New Karachi with his family two months ago.
Police reported that five to six unidentified suspects were involved in the crime and suggested that personal enmity might be the motive. A case has been registered, and investigations are ongoing.
