LAHORE: The Pakistan men’s U19 cricket team is set to compete in a 50-over tri-series against Afghanistan and hosts the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 13 to 26 November.
The tournament will follow a double-league format, with the top two teams advancing to the final. This tri-series is strategically scheduled to help the teams fine-tune their preparations for the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2024.
The PCB National U19 Cup (one-day) and Championship (three-day) will commence in October. These domestic events will provide emerging cricketers with opportunities to showcase their talent and secure selection for the tri-series and the Asia Cup.
Usman Wahla, PCB Director International, expressed his enthusiasm for the series, saying: “We are delighted that the Pakistan Men’s U19 team will be taking part in a highly competitive U19 tri-series in the UAE just before the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup. This will be a great opportunity for the young players to grow and nurture their skills.”
