Tree plantation drive inaugurated
DIR: Deputy Commissioner, Upper Dir, Naveed Akbar inaugurated the monsoon tree plantation campaign by planting a sapling at the Hill Park here on Thursday.
The monsoon tree plantation campaign was launched at Hill Park in Dir city in collaboration with the Forest Department.Speaking on the occasion, the deputy commissioner said that 900,000 trees would be planted during the campaign.
He said that the public, heads of all government departments and officials should participate in the tree plantation drive to make it a success.The public could get plants from the Forest Department free of cost to make the campaign a success, the official maintained.He appealed to the people to extend support to the Forest Department and administration in protecting the forest.
