PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety Authority seized adulterated beverages on Wednesday.According to a spokesperson for the Food Authority, the food safety teams from Town-3 and Town-4 in Peshawar carried out a joint operation.
The teams raided a warehouse in Chughalpura on Ring Road, Peshawar, where approximately 5,000 liters of counterfeit branded beverages were recovered and confiscated. The fake and harmful drinks were being supplied to the city.In another raid, the food safety team found 810 liters of fake beverages in a store in the Shewa Bazaar area of Swabi. Fines were imposed on the owners, and further actions were initiated according to the Food Safety Act.
