LAHORE:Mourning processions took place across the country on Ashura to honour Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and the martyrs of Karbala. Zakirs and Ulema highlighted the teachings of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and the tragic events of Karbala, underscoring their lasting impact on Islamic history and the values of sacrifice and justice. Stringent security measures were in place to ensure the safety and peaceful observance of the processions. In Lahore, the main Ashura procession began from Nisar Haveli and concluded at Karbala Gamay Shah. Over 10,000 police personnel were deployed to maintain order. High-ranking officials inspected the security arrangements personally.
